6:30am nails. Gonna try to stay up for 24 hours and shift myself back to normalcy.

First ombre I’ve done with different nail polishes, made possible by my aforementioned recent nail polish organizing mission. I prefer to the mixing colors technique, especially since the two shades darker nail always looks like crap with that method. 

It was probably a waste to take off that old manicure cause my nails are already getting a little long, I’ll have to cut them in two days, but I was craving a fresh shiny coat of polish.

So three or four days into a manicure I start to get antsy and need to do stuff to it. I touched up all the outlines and added ring finger accent nails with Prevail Table Service (it’s pink and glittery) and a six pointed star for kicks and/or to satisfy certain nail polish related compulsive behaviors. The color is not really coming out well in this picture; here is a pic of me wearing it NYE ‘11: 

‘Twas a simpler time, when I wasn’t obsessed with really into nail stuff, as you can see by the polish on my cuticles, though I always have had a bit of a problem with entering drug stores without leaving with a bottle of nail polish (unrelated: I have a similar issue with Snickers ice cream bars.) They just look so pretty in their little bottles being all colorful and stuff. I recently organized my collection and found nail polishes from 1998. It’s not nearly as extensive as I thought, only filled up two plastic tubs from the Container Store. Wow, being on a fucked up sleep schedule sure does make you want to rant at the internet.
